Terms and Conditions of Enrolment

Please read the Terms and Conditions of Enrolment at Roley Dogs. You need to understand them fully so please ask any questions that you need and then sign at the end to confirm that you understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions of Enrolment.


  1. General

1.1.        Terms and conditions are subject to change.

1.2.        Parents/guardians of students who are under 16 years of age must remain at the lessons at all times.

1.3.        Roley Dogs shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, theft or injury suffered or occasioned by persons or their personal belongings as a consequence of entry onto the property.

1.4.        Acceptance of enrolment into a class by Roley Dogs is an acceptance of the terms and conditions by the participants and, if the participant is under 18, their parent/guardian.

1.5.        Roley Dogs reserves the right to alter class times due to changing circumstances.

1.6.        Roley Dogs reserves the right to refuse any enrolment without reason.

1.7.        You must pick up after your dog.


  1. Payment

2.1.        Group Classes operate on a term basis.

2.2.        Group Class Fees are paid for a term.  This payment secures the student’s place in the class. Roley Dogs does not have a fee per group class.

2.3.        Individual Consultation Fees are paid per consultation.

2.4.        All fees must be paid prior to enrolment being accepted.

2.5.        Payment is made by bank transfer.

2.6.        Requests for permission to pay other than by bank transfer will be at management discretion.


  1. Termination

3.1.        Three business days’ notice prior to the commencement of the unit is required in writing to terminate group classes.

3.2.        Three business days’ notice prior to an Individual Consultation is required in writing to terminate that consultation.

3.3.        Prepayment will be forfeited if the required notice is not received.


  1. Refunds

4.1.        Refunds will not be issued except in extenuating circumstances such as serious illness or injury lasting longer than two months.  In this instance a medical certificate must be received.  All requests for refunds must be in writing and will be at the discretion of management.


  1. Public Holidays

5.1.        Classes will not operate on public holidays.


  1. Group Class Levels

6.1.        Roley Dogs will accept the level specified on the enrolment form as correct at the point of enrolment however reserve the right to move a student to a more appropriate class if deemed necessary.

6.2.        Roley Dogs will not necessarily accept another institutions certificate of competence for a level.

6.3.        Should your dog be deemed unable to adequately participate in Group Classes, Roley Dogs reserves the right to cancel their enrolment in the class. In this instance you may be offered a pro rata refund or credit towards Individual Consultations.


  1. Missed Lessons

7.1.        Missed lessons cannot be used or exchanged for financial credit or refund.


  1. Sick or injured Dogs – If in doubt, leave them out.

8.1.        Please consider your dog’s health as a priority.

8.2.        Dogs who are unwell do not learn and infect others. Dogs who are unwell are not permitted to participate in a lesson.

8.3.        Roley Dogs reserves the right to remove a dog if the instructor believes the dog to be unwell or injured.

8.4.        Group classes are held in a public facility. It is your responsibility to ensure that your dog is covered by the appropriate vaccinations.

8.5.        Food, injuries, illnesses and behaviour will be discussed in Roley Dogs Group Classes and Individual Consultations. Any advice given in your classes will be general in nature and not specific to you, your dog, or your circumstances. Specific advice should be sought from a suitably qualified professional.

8.6.        Participants are welcome to attend without their dog if the dog is unable to attend.


  1. Maintain Control of your Dog

9.1.        You must maintain effective control of your dog at all times.

9.2.        Dogs that display aggressive behaviour will be required to wear a muzzle.


  1. Transfers

10.1.      Students can transfer to another class of the same level subject to available positions in that class.

10.2.      Students transferring must do so for a minimum of one month’s duration to reduce the negative impact of change on the students learning.

10.3.      Individual Consultations can be rescheduled subject to the required notice being given.
